Medallion Reader

We have had our own version of March Madness. March is the month of Red Hot Readers at Vilseck Elementary. If the children read enough minutes there principal would do something CRazY, like dye her hair red!! If a child reads 2010 minutes they earn a medal and the title of Medallion Reader. We are proud to announce that Keanna is a Medallion Reader!!! she would come home every day set the timer for at least 1 hour sometimes more and read. Our entire family reaped the benefits Keanna read to Ayla and Ayla has started "reading" on her owm. Keanna has improved her own reading skills and even Lyndi has found a new love for books.

This was an important goal for Keanna to achieve, many prayers and conversations revolved around achieving this goal. She was even released from piano and some of her chores for this month. Job well done Keanna!!

You amaze me! You need to come and teach you cousins in Idaho this self-discipline and love of reading...and your Aunt too! 2010 minutes in only one month...I just can't believe it!! Way to go!

That's great! Macie is also a huge reader and it's so fun and so nice that they can read to the little kids.
