Lyndi is 1!

I love this big eye happy girl of mine. She truly is is joy!

I can hardly believe that my little baby is already 1. Lyndi has been a joy to our entire family. She adores her sisters and they adore her. It's an important part of Ayla and Keanna's nightly ritual to give Lyndi a "blubber kiss" and hug.
Lyndi enjoys music she grins contagiously and she bounces to the beat.

One of Lyndi's favorite games is "peek a boo." She will play peek a book with anything she can get her hands on a door, blanket, book, laundry, I must admit its fun for me as well.

I love the way Lyndi smells and I can't get enough of her chubbiness. I have to retain from squeezing her too tightly. It seems the entire family feels this way and Lyndi has a tremendous amount of patience to endure the constant hugs and kisses. Although, sometimes I think she enjoys it as well. Lyndi is not afraid to snuggle back.

Lyndi is generally happy and easy going. She is pulled this way and that and rarely has a consistent routine, lucky for me she happily adapts.

I'm convinced Lyndi will be my sprinter. Every time a door opens (hallway, fridge etc.) she sprints, in hopes to reach it before the door is shut.
Lyndi is saying words like "da" "ma" "na"
I don't think it's specific to anyone, but she is learning to voice her opinion.

Lyndi loves to go swimming with everyone, but hates taking baths. Lyndi is very picky about her foods she prefers to drink her calories and we are so proud that she is finally sleeping through the night!!!

Happy Birthday beautiful baby, we all love you very, very much!!

Everyday goodness

Below is a picture of Ayla in her apron as she races a car around our table.
Ayla loves playing house. She is the mother and does a wonderful job cooking and doing the dishes and I'm the daugther who joins her for rainbow juice and soup.

My mother is very crafty. She sews, paints and knits. My sister is also very crafty sings, paints and plays the piano. A long time ago I decided that I missed out on those talents and despite my Mothers great efforts, I wasn't ever going to sew. Recently, I have started sewing and I must admit it's been fun. There is a certain sastisfaction in creating something cute in a couple hours. As a mother you don't receive many instances of instant gratification, but this helps. I'm still not that great and I opt for the EASY SEW patterns. I never thought I would say this, but someday, I would like to have a craft room.

Long Overdue Updates

The other day Ayla and Lyndi were just snuggling together. I grabbed my camera as quickly as I could. What adorable little girls.

This has been a long and cold winter. Keanna has really enjoyed the snow. Justin made a sled run in our backyard and Keanna loves to go outside and play.

Learning to Walk

Lyndi is learning to walk. It's so cute to see her cautiously waddle around the house from one piece of furniture to the next.

In these pictures Justin was trying to coax her stand up and walk to me. Lyndi didn't want to stand let alone walk!

Big Snow!!!

This has been the coldest and the snowiest winter since we have been in Germany! It's been a lot of fun!!
