Blue Mosque, Istanbul

We had the most time in Istanbul, we decided it would be a good day to let the older girls stay at the cruise provided child care.
The first thing we saw was the Blue Mosque, built between 1609 and 1616. Istanbul was the capital of the Ottoman Empire from 1453 to 1923. Before entering we had to take off our shoes and I was given a shawl to cover my bare shoulders.
The Blue Mosque also known as, the Sultan Ahmed Mosque, it's covered with beautiful blue tile within the interior.

This was quite an enjoyable experience to see the different architecture and see the different religious culture.
