Bari, Italy

We spent the first day in Bari, Italy. My friend Marianne went on the same cruise one day later then we did. She is a wonderful photographer and with her permission the first 3 photos are hers. She did a great job at capturing the ambiance and lifestyle of Bari.

Here we are standing in front of the Basilica Di San Nicolas. this is an important pilgrimage for Orthodox Christians and Italians. It hold relics that many find to be very important such as the tomb of Bona Sforza. We didn't take pictures inside this Basilica because they were holding mass.

Ayla is really turning on the charm.

Ayla, Owen and Keanna

I love seeing different cultures and this was certainly a change. Many people rode skooters and zipped through town with their tots in arm.

The San Sabino church had a square that was perfect for playing. We spent about 45 minutes here, letting the kids run around. The Italian children were having fun kicking a "football" around.

Below Own, Ayla and Keanna are taking a rest from playing.

We decided to visit the Castello Normanno Svevo originally built in 1131. Ayla decided to throw one of her legendary tantrums.

The Svevo now serves as a gallery

Here we are walking along the outside of the Svevo

Now I really think that my kids would like to throw a tantrum on the floor of a building nearly a millenium old. That is throwing a fit in style!

Your girls will never be allowed at my house, they will ruin us! (Give Justin a big hug for me)
