Mariahilfe Church

Churches are plentiful in Germany, and are the center of most villages. We visited this beautiful, baroque-style Franciscan church last weekend. It sits on a hill overlooking Amberg and was built in the 16 and1700's as the people were seeking divine relief from the bubonic plague. The detail is amazing.

That looks like a beautiful church. I am sure you are enjoying many of the wonderful differences in the culture. I hope you continue to share more with us.
